All Hail Japan Podcast – Episode 4
After an almost 10 month hiatus Kirk and Buddy are back to present to you episode 4 of the All Hail Japan podcast. We promise we won’t allow such a long time to pass before we publish a new episode. It episode 4 we discuss the Earthquake, tsunami and nuclear crisis in Japan. We get an update on Kirk’s upcoming trip to Japan and how the disaster there has affected his plans. An All Hail Japan episode wouldn’t be complete without an anime discussion and we discuss a few shows including High School of the Dead. Buddy has gotten a Mac and an iPad and he discusses his experiences studying Japanese on them. In closing Kirk talks abous a recomments a Japan learning resource called “Erin’s Challenge”. Jamaica is by a fault line the whole thing floats ont he carribean plate. Cool Fact. The pirate city of Port Royale was sunk to the bottom of the ocean by a major earthquake June 7, 1692 11:43AM and destroyed again in 1907.
Jamaica is also long overdue for their next. But with our neighbor Haiti getting hit hopefully it will stave off the big one for another century.
Florida is one place that doesn’t get Earthquakes. We get tremors from ones that happen elsewhere.

The World God Only Knows I need to watch this I passed it over in the fall.
From what I understand the show is an ecchi romantic comedy with a pokemon "Gotta Catch 'em All" twist and the pokemon are girls. The main character has played so much Visual Novel games he's pratically a Pickup Artist.
Season 2 will end in like 10 weeks. I need to batch it and catch up.

I'll check out dubs when Adult Swim airs them. So far the best dub I've seen is "Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex" simply amazing work. Gundam Unicorn has Theatrical Film quality dubbing and I would expect it at $60USD a disc.

HOTD is a genre parody don't take it seriously and you will love it. If your a teenage boy you'll love it. If your a horror loving teenage girl you'll love it. You a military nut you'll love it. The great thing about Highschool of the Dead is that it has so many different genre niches in one place.
Pink Haired Tsundere is your style. Eh? Buddy. At first she was my favorite but she grew whiny and useless which turned me off her character.
My favorite female character became the Special Forces sniper. They camped out at her house.

The idea that a person can reject anime based on it having some sort of ecchi sounds absolutely insane. I know coming from someone who watches 15 concurrent anime. I obviously have no hang ups about it. But I have also watched some amazing shows that despite the fanservice it was still a good watch. Those people are missing out on so much.

Living in a land locked state isn’t bad at all. I thought the Ocean was cool, but not as spectacular as I thought it might be. Maybe sometime I’ll go back when I can enjoy it. My cousin was deploying so we were down there to spend time with him. He is actually going off to Japan for 2 years right after getting back from his 7 month deployment, so might not see him for a while.

Yeah I get why it has a hole in the middle, but still is kind of crazy there is a hole. lol.
I caught the downward degradation of the main chick, and it was kind of crazy the whole way through. I figured something big was going to happen, but not that.
I didn’t take HOTD too seriously. It was a fun quick anime that had zombies like any other real zombie movie which was the big reason I liked it. The pink haired tsundre isn’t so much my type per se. I just like that she was awesome smart.

LOL, I actually have an external 24″ that does 1920×1200 as well as a 23″ 1920×1080, and I use that while at home, but I also get out to a lot of different places for meetings, school, or just to get away from home. I use it a lot outside of being at home so that is where I am annoyed by it.
I don’t actually think tablets are the future to be honest I think it is a stepping stone to something else that will come along in 2 or 3 years. However, what I want, my ideal setup, won’t exist for probably 20 years.
What is your ideal setup?

Sorry, I was thinking something else when I was thinking ideal setup. Here is the short version of what I want for my ideal computer.
take something the size of a pen, maybe skinnier, and it expands to about 2 feet long and you lay it down on a flat surface like a desk and it displays something like a holographic display accross it. From there I have to the left my filing cabinet, which acts similar to a filing cabinet and windows explorer address bar.
I also have a pad of paper for documents I can pull out a pen and start writing on it or drawing or what ever and it saves it as text and/or writing. I do like to write over type at times so it is useful for me. Also i can hit a “button” and i get a keyboard similar to what is on ios or tron, kind of built in, in order to type instead of writing.
That is the very very short of what I want in my computer. I have it a lot more thought out than that though.
